With more than 14 years of experience in brand management, communications strategy and content creation for national publications and organizations, Jessica is adept at media outreach on every level, from platform selection to story angle, design and photography direction. Jessica is passionate about using strategic communications to support the success of businesses and nonprofits working in the spheres of social justice, beneficial business, the environment and natural wellness.

As a founding partner at Bark Media, Jessica advises and delivers collaborative communications and marketing strategy for impact brands and nonprofits. Bark Media tells and broadcasts stories of the huge impact its clients have on improving the world, whether through better business practices or innovative thought leadership.

As founding editor of Mother Earth Living magazine, Jessica oversaw the development of social media audiences of more than a million fans, launched a successful print publication amid intense industry difficulties, and lent creative and innovative sales support to help reach budget in lean economic times .

Jessica has managed and launched numerous brands and is skilled in identifying, attracting and growing audiences. She’s written hundreds of published articles, has appeared numerous times on television and radio, and is a skilled presenter. She is the author of the book Housing Reclaimed: Sustainable Homes for Next to Nothing, which profiles individuals, families and companies across the country who used reclaimed materials to create sustainable homes without mortgages or building loans.
