Amy is passionate about people and their stories. Her life has centered on social responsibility, as reflected by her career choices, creative endeavors, and philanthropic pursuits.

Originally from the Detroit area, Amy spent her childhood in Italy, where an appreciation for cultural diversity was installed at an early age. She has also lived and worked in Australia and the U.K., and has woven her experiences throughout her work in marketing, development, and film production at the Denver Film Festival, Sundance Film Festival, Botanic Gardens of Adelaide, South Australia, and NGOs, Pursue Balance and Rock the Earth.

Amy is an Emmy-nominated producer and has more recently been involved with projects for the world Tibetan band, Techung, the arts-based non-profit, The Art of Elysium, and PBS. Amy also worked for Larry Ellison’s branding agency, Infidea Studios, where she developed projects for Mr. Ellison’s Malibu restaurant and social initiatives for the island of Lanai, Hawaii, namely the establishment of a socially conscious documentary film festival.

Amy is focused on utilizing the media to make a positive impact in the world. Her current role as the International Program Coordinator for GlobalGirl Media (GGM) allows Amy to see first-hand the positive effect new media journalism training can have on young women, especially those from under-served communities. Amy is hopeful that through GGM, girls and young women can find their voices, become empowered and change the media landscape to reflect a more diverse and equal world. Amy holds degrees in Psychology and English from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
